Hi Mal and everyone

A beautiful bunch of Spits!

Rowan, weren't you doing a pink Spitfire?

Yes, and I suppose "technically" I still am. I got completely stalled trying to decifer some small text visible in photos of the real thing; e-mails to Spitfire societies and the relevent squadron association all drew a blank - they'd never noticed the writing 'till I pointed it out. One day I'll dig the model out again and renew the hunt.

"Aircraft of note" threads sound a great idea.

All the best

Sounds good to me, this Thursday is now Stuka night We still need a way of choosing who chooses next. Maybe like the trivia quiz, first to post, after the initial post (which would be by the member who's theme it is, in this case Phil), choses the following Thursday's theme, what do ya think?

Better late than never, here is my Canadian MkIX, last seen crash landed in Normandy being passed by a column of Shermans....

Hi Frank, I have tried to edit your post to corrct the picture links but for some odd reason ther are now just red X's? So I am trying to put 'em here:

Beautiful Spitfire, do you have any more aircraft models?

Mal

Posting pics:
click on the thumbnail of the picture you want to post, this will open the pic. Below the pic you will see the image url (code stuff) with image tags added. To the right of this is a "copy" button, click that and you will have copied the url with image tags included. Now simply go to your "post text" box and "paste" (right click-choose "paste", or Ctrl+v) and the image tagged url will be pasted. If you open a seperate window for the gallery you will be able to jump back and forth between you post and images. Alternatively, open word, or other such application, and copy the tagged url's into that, when done simply highlight and copy the lot, then paste all in one go.

EDIT:
Well that didn't work, I'll ask a question in the staff forum? in the meantime I'll try the old fashioned way.

Other options could be:

The "Thread Master" (in this case Phil) chooses the plane he likes most and gives his "sceptre" to another for the next "Thursday Plane". Some sort of totally subjective and despotic one vote contest :-)
Or the modeler with the most models to display (in this case the most Stukas) will be the next.

just some ideas...
