Hi,
I started with the painting of the Bone applying a light grey primer overall, and a matt black one on the upper wings to retain the walkways out of that layer hiding em with masking tape.
I also added PE antennas, and the GPS one made out of a sprue slice
primers
more pix to come !
Best regards,
Richard

Salut Richard!
Just a little question: this seems to be a BIG model, what paint did you use and, more important, how many! I don't know if someone makes 500ml bottles! :-)

Hi Jean Luc,
For the primers I used a full Humbrol cup (un pot complet quoi !) of ref 1, and half a ref 33 for the wings.
for the undrsurfaces I used to little bottles of Tamiya ref TS48
For the upper surfaces and for the under weathering I have foreseen three Humbrol 125 cups, hope it will be enough !
kind of an "industrial" project, huh ?
Cheers,
Salut,
Richard

Hi,
I found Tamiya TS48 was too dark and deep so I tried and mixed Humbrol 125 with white ref 34 and found a good color at 75/25. It looks like the color on the real one
The table diameter is 110 cm...
Walkways uncovered.
4 full cups of Humbrol were necessary to wrap the Bone around !
Regards
Richard

Salut Richard!
Now that's a big piece!
Congratulations on a job well done! How did you shoot the "in flight" pictures? did you hold the model with one hand ?
I also like the simple base idea with only one figure to make a contrast with the huge plane! Bien vu!

Hi Richard!
Impressive pictures! 8 months? You could almost have made a baby in that timeframe... :-)
The level of detail is fantastic... are these small flies impacts on the forward fuselage?

Hi !
Thanks for your comments !
Jean-Luc you're a good observer ! The impacts you can see on the nose are the inflight refuelling boom's hits from a KC135... They show on every and any Bone.
Best regards
Richard
