This is Hasegawa's Nakajima C6N1-S Saiun (Myrt) with an Eduard A.M set added mainly in the cockpit. It was sprayed with Alclad 2 Aluminium and then a topcoat of Mr Color's range of Japanese aircraft paints. Paint chipping was acheived with my scalpel. Decals used came with the kit.

Hi folks:
I missed MOM last month so am hoping the guvnor will let me slip under the radar into Feb.
The kit's the Hasegawa 32nd scale Ki-84 Frank with sprayed markings (bar the tail, very narrow 'L' shaped wing walks and fuel caps).
Enjoy your modelling and best regards to all.

Hi. here is my entry for MOM Feb. Wingman 001 This is Hasegawas 1/48 scale Ju 87 G-1 "Kanonenvogel". Eduard photo-etch detail parts were added to the cockpit and the molded on flap actuators under the wing were removed and replaced with Eduard photo-etch parts. I added plumbing to the gun pods using stretched sprue.Wingman 002 The kit wheels were replaced with a set from True Details. ModelMaster paints were used along with Aeromaster decals. Weathering was done with a wash of raw umber artist oil paint and ModelMaster chrome silver toned down with raw umber oil paint was used for paint chipping. Figures are from Verlinden and Jaguar. Wingman 003 Wheel chocks were scratch built using spare parts from the parts box and spare photo-etch. Thanks for looking, Wingman out.

Wow, there are some great posts here already. I predict this month will be very hard to choose from.
This is Tamiya's 1/72 p-47 razorback. I used aeromaster decals that were made specially for the (I think) 1998 IMPS/US Nationals. They feature nose art done by George Rarey. This specific plane was Rarey's own "Damon's Demon." Sadly, it was shot down shortly after D-Day. Anyway the kit was great and was an absolute joy to build. I added pe seatbelts, td tires, and punched out the individual instrument decals - of course not noticeable in the pictures
(I hope I named the pictures correctly - wasn't 100% sure what was meant).

Oh boy, why do I get the feeling I'm only here to make the numbers up, there are some stunning models already! Oh well, here goes.... It's a 1/144 vac form Welsh Models Vickers Valiant built straight out of the box/bag/pack? It took quite a while to build and also about two tubes of filler! When it was finished I swore never to build one of these again. Guess what I'm building at the moment? I must be crackers!
Thanks for actually taking the time to read this! Remember, it's not the winning, it's the taking part that counts! :-)

This is my 1/24 scale Airfix Me 109e. Battle of Britain. I used Tamiya based paints for overall paint while weathering was done with pastels and oils. Base board was made with modelling clay and basswood strips.

My model is Italeri's 1/72 scale Sikorsky UH-60A Blackhawk which is using in Turkish Military Police. I made it straight from the box. Model was painted with Humbrol enamels and weathered with pastel chalk powders and oil paints. Decals are original from Italeri.

Well, I finished another one! #10 since I started, no less (that calls for a beer, right?!)! And it's going staight to the MOM-contest and your unmerciful judgements! :-)
This is Hasegawa's Saab J 35J Draken in 1/72 with a couple of extras. It's the first time I worked with etched parts (the cockpit was tricky! - The Swedish krona coin is about the same size as a Euro). Loads of fun building this beautiful bird from the mid 1950's!
Hopefully, also 1/72 kits can get some votes! :-)
Cheers!

Revell of Germany's torpedo carrying Focke-Wulf 190 F-8 / R-14 is my first build outside of 1/48 in years. Long ago, I decided to focus on quarterscale aircraft for the availability of subjects, accessories, size and most importantly, detail. The main drawback of the scale is the lack of large aircraft and space to put them. Today's tooling gives us 1/72 models that rival, and surpass, many 1/48 kits. This is one of those gems.
Apparently this use of the -190 is a footnote. While the airframe/powerplant could lift and carry the load, as well as oversized bombs on other versions, these planes were too vulnerable against the massed Allied flak and fighters guarding the convoys. It probably didn't have much fuel to attack much beyond the coast, either. A fine model of a legendary aerial weapon.
Built OOB, painted Polly Scale.
My Review

Hello everyone,
Here is a P-40F from 79th Fighter Group, North Africa. It's an AMT 1/48th kit with Aeromaster decals. Photos of the real aircraft showed it had six wing bomb racks as well. I did some searching in the parts box and added the wing bombs/racks from an old TBD Devastator kit.
Hope you enjoy the photos,
Brian
