Hello!
As a sequence of my determination of cleaning the workbench of stuff
that as been rolling for ages before i really start somethimg new,
here goes the second model! (the first was the Rafale i posted some days ago..)
It´s Tamiya´s 1/48 rendition of the Brewster F2A -2,
and was built OOB, with the intention of testing Alcclad II for the first time,
and some new clear coat called Marabu, that i found on a ceramic store. The one used was the satin one.
This model as been around for + - 3 years, and i lost/broke some parts,
like pitot tube and the aerial antenna support on the tail. I made a pitot tube out of hipodermic needles,
and grab the chance and also made some MG´s. The antenna array is out of copper.
Regards from azores!!
Feedback most Welcomed!

Hi Jose'
I love the little fat Buffalo! I'm planning on doing the Finnish Airforce version from Classic Airframes for the upcoming campaign later this year. You've done a very nice job on yours. It's a shame you lost some of the parts but it still turned out great. Nice job on the Alclad also. This will be a nice, colorfull addition on your shelf.
Congradulations, well done
Hermon

Hi Jose,
Great work on the Brewster Buffalo, a couple of questions for you.
What did you use for the primer coat under the Alclad?, and great camera work, your focal depth is great, what camera do you use?

Hello!
Thanks Hermon and frank for replying and for the nice words!!!
Frank, i used alcclad´s black primer, and i´m aware of all the negative feedback that has been around, but at the time wasn´t aware. it did took ages to dry...
The camera is a Panasonic DMC FZ-5 and the maiority of pics are shot at F.8.
Thanks again!!

Jose -
I'm really impressed with your weathering. Just right and not overdone. It really looks like a working aircraft.
I have one of these in my stash that i am thinking about and you might have made up my mind for me.

Hi Jose.
Fantastic paint job. I like it very much.
That work with the cooper wire fore the antenae is great. The little circle is part of the cooperwire or it´s a separate part ?

A very nice Buffalo josé, I do like the antenna tensioning spring.
I think I'm right in saying that gloss black primer is only necessary when you use Alclad chrome. I used a normal enamel gloss black, Humbrol I think, and I had no trouble at all. Having said that your NMF looks great

Blimey, i thought one of those pics was a real aircraft. Great work and a very colourful addition to the aircraft fraternity. A future MOM entrant for definite.

Your Buffalo looks great.
Its always nice to see something with a bit of colour, and the yellow and blue looks great with the nmf.
I bought some Alclad the other day for my Thunderbolt and its interesting to see what people are using for primers.
Did you have any problems spraying paint over the Alclad?
Congrats on a fine build

Hello all, and thanks for the feedback!!!
Carlos:
The ring on the antenna tensionning spring is part of the small wire that i rolled around a thicker one. It´s only one part.
Nigel, i didn´t have any problem painting or masking over the alcclad.
Thanks again!!!
