Hi everyone,

I've been working on my Hasegawa Harrier for the "Air Support" Campaign. I wanted to model my aircraft after a picture I saw with the gun pod and the center line pylon between the gun and ammo pods holding a laser designator.
The directions do not show this option. It's either the pylon or the gun and the parts do interfere with each other. I studied the parts for awhile and I think I figured out how they do it in real life.
There is a rectangular cover plate in the middle of the gun pod pylon. It is the same size of the center ordinance pylon. I'm confident this cover is removed to allow use of both items if needed.
If any of you plan on building a Hasegawa Harrier and want to add both items here is the way to do it.

#1 make sure you open the holes in the bottom fuselage for the center pylon since I did not figure this out until AFTER putting it together I had to use a small mag light to illuminate the holes and then open them. Here is the photo report:

Hope this helps any potential future Harrier builders.

Sincerely,
Brian

How is that Harrier kit overall? I've been eyeballing it at LHS but was hesitating because I hadn't heard much about it.

Hi there,

Jesse, thanks for the compliment but I'm not done yet!

Brent,

The kit is going better than I thought but there is a definate learning curve. I plan on doing another someday and it will be much easier. If you like I have been posting some pictures and commentarty during the build in the "Official Air Support thread"

https://armorama.kitmaker.net/forums/69727&page=3

Just scroll down half way and thats were I start. Also you should check out "Mothers" Harrier (on the same page) I think the Hasegawa Harrier kit is good, not great, but good. In the end it will look like a MARINE Harrier II and that's all that matters.

Sincerely,
Brian
