Hi all!
Thanks for your comments, I´m very happy you liked my model!
Warms my heart and makes the build even more worth the "prize"!
@Eetu;
Yes, only ONE dip made the whole difference!
Could hardly believe It myself, but It´s true!
From that point, I dip EVERY canopy in Future (or Johnssons Golvpolish)!
He, He...
Yes, using a sandpape as coarse as this IS really scary when you see what it does to a plastic surface!
You have to go really carefully, but It´s the most effective way to sand away lots of filler.
Then I had to go over with 600, 800 and 1200 before paint, but it speeds up the process!
@Rowan;
Well, I have had a feature in my mind and have prepared for one, but I can´t say when It will be done (lack of time!), and I´m working on the J-35 Draken feature right now!
Cheers all!

Was it really just a dip in Future what you did to those clear parts?

80-grit sandpaper, that's almost scary!
But I guess sometimes you just need to bring out the heavy artillery.
Isn't that about the coarsest grade there is?

Hi Stefan
i also want to congratulate you to the nice Ar 196!!! Really well done.
Did you know that these planes actually had air victories? (If you like have a look here A History of 5./B.F.Gr. 196, 1./S.A.Gr. 128, and 10./Z.G. 1 .. Its a MS Word file. If only I could find out what a/c Heinz Wurm flew ... IIRC he had 3 claims on Ar 196 (16 in total)
My MPM models sits in the stash for years (if not already a decade) because it was such a difficult build and becaus I did not find nice decals.
I am looking forward to the Draken article!
cheers

Amazing build Stefan.
Its hard to believe that out of those misshapen, flash ringed blobs of plastic that you managed to build anything at all, let alone the beauty you ended up with.
Looking forward to the features.
Andy

Yeah, one grade coarser is known as belt sander.
