John - Could you, please, post us a picture of that Walrus? I've got one in my stash. Any particular problems?

You guys have made me commit a sin. I'm envious of all the multiple jobs going at once. I've tried that in the past and really botched it.

Right now I've got an mpc 1/72, F-80 Shooting Star on my bench that I intend to begin this weekend. It's a shame how work interferes with life. I'm building the F-80 to use the canopy as a photo shoot to demonstrate my method of doing canopies with out having to mask. I'll probably follow the box art using SnJ.

Hi Nigel.
YouŽre right. The forums are very quiet lately.
By now in my workbench :

Spitfire Mk I (Tamiya 1/48) = Just started - Cockpit finished & fuselage glued and sanded.

Spitfire Mk XVI (Hasegawa 1/48) = In painting process.

Spitfire Mk VI (Hasegawa 1/48) = Decaling finished - Future coated - Waiting for the canopie, overall mate coat and final weathering.

Mosquito FB Mk XVIII (Airfix 1/72) = Decaling finished - Future coated - Waiting for the canopie, overall mate coat and final weathering.

Waiting in the box to be build in the following months:

Spitfire Mk VIII (ICM 1/48)
Spitfire Mk VII (ICM 1/48)
Spitfire Mk IX ICM 1/48)
Mosquito FB Mk VI (Tamiya 1/72)
Mosquito PR IV (Tamiya 1/72)
Mosquito B Mk IV (Tamiya 1/72)
Fairey Swordfish Floatplane (Tamiya 1/48)
Gloster meteor Mk I (Tamiya 1/48)

I believe that with the above IŽll have for all 2007. Now waiting in my stash there are anothr 83 kits, who knows when IŽll build them all.

Hi all!
Some GREAT looking builds in progress on here.I still cant get my head around how some of you are doing multiple builds,,but each to their own.The great thing about the hobby is you find your own way of doing things,,and the end results,,as the features and MoM entries show,,are nothing short of spectacular.
As an extension to this thread,,which has proved very popular and certainly kicked the posting back in gear, how would people feel about members starting their own "my workbench" threads. These would be different to "in progress" threads and might make an interesting "mini series"
Thoughts please guys

Hi Nigel:

I like the idea of "My Workbench Thread". That will allow anyone to look inside in your workbench at any moment and see in what youŽre working. I believe that the threads must be created in some place of the site, so people will be able to find with ease the workbench that he want to look in.
People who doesnŽt want to have a workbench could show their models in other forums of the site, even the ones who have it could do it to.
I donŽt know if this could be posible but it sounds good to me.

One of the great things that happens to me with this hobbie is that through time IŽm in it, I want to work in more projects at the same time. It seems that never is enough

Keep on modelling

I'm currently working on:

Italeri 1/72 A-10 thunderbolt - just started decaling it (dad's xmas present)

Eduard 1/48 Air Cobra (the Air-A-Cutie one) had slight accident with the fully painted and wethered cockpit and a can of white primer

Tamiya 1/48 Skyraider the Navy version (picked it up at Telford for about Ł10)

A 1/6 Anime figure Nina Darkness - nearly ready for painting

Tamiya 1/35 Wepse (My first armour kit WIP posted on armorama)

Revell 1/32 Hawker Hunter which will eventually be airbrushed with the Miss Demeanour scheme been working on this for nearly two years it keeps getting bits snapped off by unknown assailiants

Think thats it for the minute as I intend to get some kits out of the way before I start anymore (theres a first for everything :-) )

Be careful about the decals. I noticed to late that there is a white "shadow" on the decals. I gave mine up after I tried to remove the decals again....

I might have been unlucky and/or paying to little attention as I saw the shadow too late. Otherwise I would recommend aftermarket decals.

Thanks for the warning but fortunatly I will not be using any of the kit decals on it as the whole Miss Demeanour paint scheme will be airbrushed and I have to make my own decals for the tailcode and pilots name.

Here is a website dedicated to the Miss Demeanour and her pilot Jonathon "Flapjack" Whaley:

Hi there everyone.

At the present time I actually have 3 one the go.

1/48 Tamiya Corsair - I am down to applying the dull coat

1/48 Revell Bf-110-G2, also down to application of the dull coat. I had some issues with the wing fuel tanks, but that has been overcome. Also my first attempt of the german camo scheme.

and finally a 1/32 Hasagawa Me-262 1a that I will be finishing as a Galland bird. I don't have any pic's of this one yet.

Happy Modelling

Hi all.
Seems like a lot of interest is being shown in the "my workbench thread" idea.
I would imagine the easiest way to do it would be to just start a thread in perhaps the "pre flight check" forum.
A suggestion for a title could be " My Workbench-"callsign".
Can we have a yeah or neh on this please?
