Ok folks while the admin gets the Campaign title untied and the knots worked out, here we go. If anything we are not going to sit on our hands. As I mentioned earlier JRatz kindly allowed me to use this thread as a home base if you will. Starting tonight this is the location for the official thread for the Bloody April 1917 Air Campaign.

Now lets get to it! Any questions post here and I'll do my best to help. JRatz has volunteered to be my wingman in this endeavour. If you have any questions concerning any German involved combat that took place between April 1 - 30 , 1917 I probably can help answer. No brag just facts.

As for me I'll have a few details on my build soon.

Being new to this forum I have the following question.
How does one enter in the Campaign feature? Is this a contest or just building to the theme. Thanks in advance,

Hey Rick! First let me say how glad I am to see you here.

Next, the Air Campaign is essentially building on a theme. The 2nd annual Aeroscale Early Bird Contest is being organized for Aug.

This Air Campaign ends July 31 2007. It basically involves building two combatants from April 1917. The rules are under the Campaign forum in the black tool bar just above the start of this thread's first entry. There are several going at this time for different eras. Usually we vote on the themes and go from there for the Air Campaigns. There is also a central Aeroscale forum title for the Air Campaigns where we do most of our chatter about helping on another. We allowed for a modeler to use an already built kit but if used they had to build its opponent in an April 1917 air combat.

OK, I have tried twice with this reply I have signed up, chosen my models, and will do a photo shoot this week of the kits and reference. I intend to do a marathon build during my vacation next week.

I must declare the Air Campaign for Bloody April 1917 done and over. I want to thank ALL of the participants. Good work and valiant attempts were made. Next time we'll stick to one build each or make it a year long project.

I submit the roll call of participants who successfully accomplished the goal and others who put out valiant efforts.
