That is a really, really nice build. It is also a cool plane that I haven't tried to build since about 1968-69.

Might even be the same kit

Hello Carl,

If the kit you built was the Monogram F-104C then yes, this is the same kit. I remember building one when I was ten or eleven. I painted it silver with a brush of course. I had many adventures with it resulting in finger prints all over the model (dang silver paint never seemed to dry completely) but you can overlook alot when your ten

Sincerely,
Brian

Howdy bf443,

Enjoyed reading thru your Starfighter thread, and your finished work is well done indeed {we really need a thumbs-up smiley}.

As to your preshading attempt, I kinda thought it would dissappear but having had the same results myself in the past I was not surprised. I actually don't much understand 'pre'shading myself, never made any real sense to me....I've always prefered adding panel detail after the colours have been applied, kinda like how the real panel line detail is added....by mothernature and use/time.
Your handiwork on the underside of the fuselage shows your panel line talents very well...and your camo job is excellent.

Anyway, real nice addition to the Campaign.

Tread.

Your model looks fantastic. As to the meaning of Archival Quality, that simply means the ink will not fade or etch into the surface causing damage to the item you are writing on.

My next Zipper project will be a camo'd bird. Here is what my last Zipper turned out like, I know the markings are not of a real aircraft but a representation of one. This project was mostly used as a test mule for the NMF paint quality checks.

Keep up the great work!

Hello everyone,

Gordon, thank you for the compliment. I really did enjoy building the kit. I do have a Hasegawa Starfighter someday I may try to make another "Zipper in the Nam".

Gerald, thank you also. I enjoyed your two seater (theres something you don't see every day) the finish looks great. NMF scare the bejeezers out of me

Sincerely,
Brian
