My build of this DML / Dragon kit represents a bent and battered Spad XIII, S.1956 from Escadrille 83 in about May 1918. The decals are from Glencoe sets that were included in their reissue of the old Aircam publication on the Spad VII - SXIII types. I used the Tom’s Modelworks Plypockets brass set and an Engines and Things resin 200hp Hispano Suiza. It is painted in the “early Bleriot” scheme of the 5 colour French camouflage. The exhausts have been temporarily stored in the cockpit. This was typical for Spad aircraft under repair or in a dismantled condition.
