Nice work so far on that Monogram P-40. Is it a 1/32 or 1/48 scale?

Thanks for the comments John and Michael!

Michael,
The P-40 is in 1/48 scale, at one time that might have been a pretty good kit to build but over the years the molds have not aged well and my model so far has been a LOT of trouble to build because of poor fitting parts and many of the smaller parts had flash on them.
Pics of the finished model should be posted in about two weeks.

Well, considering how well you have done so far with it judging from the photo, seems like even as bad as it is it will reward a good modeler's effort. Despite the poor mold quality, is it at least of decent accuracy?

Michael,
I am not sure just how accurate Monograms old P-40 kit is since I build mostly WWII Luftwaffe models and rarely build anything else, because the molds were produced in the 1960s it is likely not nearly as accurate as the newer Hasegawa or Amtech P-40s. Of all the older Monogram kits I have built recently this one has been by far the worst fitting of the bunch.
