Special Hobby have released a very interesting new addition to their Planet Models range of resin kits - a 1:48 model of Australia's Winjeel trainer.

When I first got news Libellula back in March that Planet Models were planning a kit of the M.35, I assumed mistakenly that it was to be a 1:72 kit. In fact, it's 1:48 and should really appeal to quarterscale modellers with a penchant for the weird and wonderful!

Special Hobby have announced a new kit of the MAN LE 10.220 towing vehicle as part of their Planet Models range. In an interesting innovation, the resin kit will include injection moulded clear parts.

Coming soon from Planet Models is a full resin kit of a German WW2 acoustic detector that was used alongside the more advanced radar arrays.

Special Hobby have sent us details of the next release in their Planet Models range of resin kits - the weird and wonderful Miles Libellula.

MPM Production have sent us details of the latest release under their Planet Models banner; a quarterscale full resin kit of the Aero L-159 Alca (Advanced Light Combat Aircraft), the multi-role combat aircraft derived from the L-59 Super Albatros trainer.

Now this is something I never thought I'd see - a largescale kit of the fantastic Vought XF5U Flying Flapjack! Planet Model's latest release looks like a must-have for anyone who likes building the weird and wonderful. Count me in!

First announced last year, Planet Model's 1:32 all-resin kit of the Yakovlev Yak-23 is now shipping.

Planet Models have released a full resin kit of the Klemm Kl 25d, which was a German leisure and training aircraft from 1930s.

Planet Models new kit is of the Yakovlev Yak-23 Flora, which was a first generation Soviet fighter.
The aircraft served with a the Soviet, Bulgarian, Czechoslovak, Polish, and Romanian Air forces.
One machine was even acquired by the US Air Force and shipped to the Air Force Test and Evaluation Center at Wright Field near Dayton, Ohio.

In their October newsletter, CMK have announced the release of a new 1:72 scale resin Fw 190C V-15 kit.

Two 1/72nd scale release's from Planet Models for those of us who like the "not seen a lot" kits.
First up is a brand new mould of the Messerschmitt M20 b-2, which was a light transport aircraft used by Lufthansa.
This kit has never been released before in 1/72nd scale.
Last but not least is the SIAI- Marchetti SF-260M. The Marcetti is a popular aircraft with military and airline flight school's, it is also used by aerobatic teams.
This is a re-edition of 20 + year old CMK model, with corrected nose and some other improvements.

Planet models usually release the weird and wonderful prototypes of the Second World War, and their two newest releases have not disappointed.
One each from the Allied and Axis powers and both developed as high altitude fighters.
