A new modeling company has burst onto the scene with their first kit announcement. Working under the name Aviation Art (which is said to be a working name only - and may change) has announced a coming release of a 1:48 Su-33 (NATO Flanker-D). This is the navalized version of the Su-27. Primary differences include folding wings for carrier handling and storage, beefed up landing gear as well as canards for improved maneuverability and low-speed handling.

Journey with me back to 2003 to the Mystery Mountain Ranch in Southern Caifornia to the movie set that served as a partial re-make of the 1927 movie "Hell's Angels". The 10 day movie shoot was to be incorporated in the modern telling of the life of multi-millionaire Howard Hughes, "The Aviator".

I bet many of us have wished for a particular detail set but how many of us have been in a position to actually ask for one and have our wish granted?

Rest Models has two new pre-WWII figher aircraft kits which are exclusively available at HobbyTerra.com. Both are 1/48 scale and pre-WWII era Soviet planes designed by Polikarpov. One, the I-15 also played a role in the Spanish Civil War.
