A new 1:32 wonder from Roden is the first in a series of WWI Nieuport fighters.

Roden just keeps on churning them out. I just got a package with examples of the second 1:144 issue DC-7C (They sold out of the first set issued in Feb. 2011.) The new 1:72 Nieuport 24 and the 1:48 PC-6/B2-H2 were also included. All in all a great selection.

The elves at Santa's workshop (Kiev branch at Roden) Are hard at work with Roden's Dec. 2010 releases. Kits, # 059 Nieuport 24 bis in 1:72 scale and # 301 DC-7C Pan American World Airways (PAA) in 1/144 scale.

This is the second issue of this kit mold. It is essentially the civilian version of the Fairchild Peacemaker AU-23 kit. The sprues for weapons and pylons are gone and have been replaced with a set of sprues that have passenger seats.

In the hands of England’s Naval Aviators the unconventional Sopwith Triplane was to prove itself well in the hostile skies of 1917. As a model, it has been a favorite subject for decades. Now Roden has come to us with a very versitile kit.

Next inline for release is their mold of the DeHavilland DH 4 with the Puma engine (kit #430).

Roden has given us a great all-plastic basic kit at a fine price. No brass photoetch, but most average modelers need a basic all plastic kit with little rigging like this to have as a premier build.
