MPM Production have sent us details of their impressive winter line-up of new and special reissue kits.
"November newsletter brings you not only MPM Production new releases but also Airmag kits. These kits were sold out but we re-issued them.

MPM48060 Heinkel He 177A-5 Greif „Hi-tech“ 1/48 Re-issue
German Luftwaffe throughout the whole war lacked the heavy strategic bombers. The only machine of this category was Heinkel He 177 Greif. The design of this bomber was unorthodox and thanks to it faced many technical issues. Eventually, Heinkel He 177s were deployed over Atlantic Ocean to fight the allied shipping.

Heinkel He 177 kit in 1/48 scale is one of the best sellers MPM Production has. Kit of catalogue no. 48060 Heinkel He 177A-5 Greif “High Tech” was long time sold out. Due to everlasting customers' orders we decided to re-issue this kit. The kit contains 14 sprues with plastic parts, one sprue with clear parts. The kit also includes highly detailed resin interior with color photo-etched parts. The armament carried under the wings and is represented by two Hs 293 guided bombs that are made from injected plastic. The kit also includes spray masks for wheel discs and canopy. The canopy masks include both inner and outer sections. The decals included offer markings for two interesting machines. The first one was deployed to Denmark the other to France.

The re-issue is produced in limited quantity. The fastest orders will be processed in advance. Except of the MPM48060 we still have in production: MPM48058 He 117A-5 a MPM48063 He 177A-3.

SH48121 V-173 Flying Pancake 1/48
One of the most interesting designs of the World War 2 came from significant US designer Charles H. Zimmerman. The machines were manufactured by Vought Company for which Zimmerman worked. His V-173 “Flying Pancake” served for testing of the Navy F5U-1 fighter design concept. As the tests revealed, this unorthodox machine had very good flying characteristics. Moreover, this machine possessed huge range of speed variety and was highly maneuverable.

The kit of this yellow and silver colored machine contains four sprues with plastic parts, injected clear parts and decals for the prototype machine.

SH72226 J-20/Reggiane Re-2000 „Swedish Service“ 1/72
Swedish Air Force desperately tried to strengthen its equipment by ordering modern aircraft on the eve of World War 2. When USA laid embargo on already ordered Severski EP-9 (P-35A/) and Vultee Vanguard Swedish government was forced to order new fighters in Italy. Re 2000 machines were re-designated to J-20 in Sweden and served until 1945.

Limited issue of this kit contains plastic parts with resin and photo-etched parts. Decals included offer marking for 4 Swedish machines in original Italian colorful camouflage pattern and carrying unit emblems.

SH72240 Fairey Fulmar Mk.I „Captured Marking“
One of Ark Royal's based Fulmars was lost in summer 1941. During its reconnaissance flight the machine was forced to emergency land in Senegal within the Vichy France territory. The machine had been repaired, received French national insignias and was tested by Groupe de Chasse I/4 in Dakar.

Limited issue of this kit contains three sprues with plastic parts, injected clear parts, resin and photo-etched parts. Decals included offer markings for the captured machine.

Special offer of 1/72 scale French Farman bombers re-issue:

AIR 004 Farman (SNCAC) NC 223.1 1/72 “Chef Pilote Laurent Guerrero”
The first Farman 223.1 aircraft was produced in just one piece and used for mail delivery over south Atlantic routes.

The kit contains five sprues with plastic parts, one sprue with clear parts and resin parts. Two huge decal sheets contain marking for three appearances of this aircraft.

AIR 005 Farman (SNCAC) NC 223.3 B.N.5 1/72
The bomber version 223.2 was mass produced. Farman 223.2s were assigned to Groupe de Bombardement GB I/15 and II/15 as night bombers and were used during the Battle of France. When the France had surrendered the airworthy machines were flown over to Africa. Some of them were used by Air France and the rest served as military transport machines.

The kit contains five sprues with plastic parts, one sprue with clear parts and resin parts. Huge decal sheet contain marking for GB 15 machine from 1940, Vichy transport machine and Free French military transport machine.

AIR 006 Farman (SNCAC) NC 223.4 “Jules Verne”, “Le Verrier”, “Camille Flammarion” 1/72
Three 223.4 machines were built for Air France as long range mail delivery aircraft. Completely new , aerodynamically shaped rounded fuselage was the characteristic difference from the earlier versions. The first machine to participate in secret warfare was “Camille Flamarion” that secretly searched for Kriegsmarine shipping over south Atlantic area. The machines were subsequently equipped with armament and handed over to Navy Air Force. They used them for convoy escorts and bombing. The famous action saw machine named Jules Verne during June 6, 1940 night. It was the air raid on Berlin. When the France had surrendered Air France took over the machines and deployed them on flights to Syria and Lebanon. Le Verrier machine was shot down in November 1940 over Mediterranean Sea during British versus Italian clash. The remaining two machines were captured by Germans during occupation of the rest of the France in 1942.
