Some time we have informed about incoming model kit of Russian Yak-23 in 1/48 scale. The kit have finaly landed on the shop shelves.

Producer of the kit is Czech company – Bilek. As far as remember this is the only kit of Yak-23 in this scale made in the plastic injection technology. The kit and pictures was found on the Modelimex hobby shop website.

Inside the box we will find three plastic sprues, small photo-etched fret with instrument panel, seat belts and probably some antennas. Decal sheet provides neccessary marking for four painting options:

• 3 Fighter Regiment of Czechoslovak Air Force, Brno, 1955
  
• „Red 16” of Polish Air Force displayed in the Polish Aviation Museum in Kraków
  
• FU-599 tested in Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in the USA, 1953
  
• ”Red 15” of Russian Air Force displayed in the Monino Museum, Russia
