Italeri website reveals very interesting and tempting photographs of the forthcoming release of Italian producer. The kit will be released in a series commemorating the Falklands War.
Wessex UH.5
Scale: 1/48
Catalogue number: 2720
As you can see on the attached pictures this release will be a multi-media kit containing not only styrene sprues but also a photo-etched fret and additional soft mesh. On the fret you will find of corse the instrument panel and seatbelts, some vents and some fuselage panels. It's a pity that the wipers are not done as etched parts. Clear parts seems to be very transparent and enables to assemble the cockpit glazing as partialy opened. Technological breakedown of sprues, especially the fuselage, tells me something that soon we will get other versions of this helicopter. Basing my opinion only on the released pictures I really like the panel lines and rivets of this kit.
Producer offers four painting schemes, three of Royal Navy and one of RAF machine.
Please remember, when contacting retailers or manufacturers, to mention that you saw their products highlighted here - on AEROSCALE.
