The publication of the latest issue of Windsock Worldwide could hardly be better timed, dovetailing in perfectly with the arrival of the latest gems from Wingnut Wings. Among a well packed issue of WW1 modelling fare, the highlights for many will undoubtedly be the extensive coverage of the new Fokker Eindecker and AMC DH.2 kits.
Ray Rimell's detailed build of the Fokker E.III is a must-read for anyone tackling the new model, offering a host of tweaks and tips to help avoid any pitfalls and get the best out of this superb kit. Included in the article is a set of the full colour plans seen in the recent Fokker Eindecker Compendium, this time enlarged to 1:32.
Both the Eindecker versions and the DH.2 are covered in Kitbag, along with the impressive Duelists double-kit, while the DH.2 is also treated to a Quick-Build, in which Ray follows the style of our own Doug Nelson with a very useful "no glue, no filler" approach.
