The issue of turnbuckles with Early Aviation subjects has been a topic of concern for many modelers. While several companies have tried just the simple looped wire and tube section method. One company has gone the distance to give us a well defined and impressive details available at about $19.01 per set.
"Biplanes used turnbuckles to adjust the tension of the cables. In 1/48 and 1/32 scales, turnbuckles are so small that it is not possible for current modelling resins to withstand the slight tension of the cable, whereas stronger materials have been prohibitively expensive. Thus, even the best models have actually been quite crude in that aspect, using very small cylinders in place of turnbuckles—until now. . ."

After A year of research in the latest technological advances, GasPatch models has produced the world's first metal turnbuckle in three different types of profiles at 1/48 and 1/32.

I just ordered some; hopefully they'll be as good as they look. I intend to try them in combo with the "traditional" tube and eyelet methods. They looked great on their site photos on a WNW Pfalz DIIIa. Cheers, Lance

Sorry Costas! If they look this good on a 1:48 subject I can hardly wait to see how they appear on a 1:32 model. Looking forward to them arriving. Cheers, Lance
