There's plenty for Spitfire fans to be excited about as Airfix have released pictures of the early test-mouldings of their forthcoming 1/48 scale Spitfire Mk. IXc.
As you can see in the accompanying photos - the kit looks very promising and features separate flaps and wingtips, while the cannon access panels hint at more versions to follow. The black plastic used is for testing only and not representative of the final kit and the parts are simply held together with tape to ensure they fit together well. Airfix's Spitfire is bound to be a popular release, so watch out for more details as they emerge.
