As mentioned in the thread for their Dec.2012 news release Gaspatch evidently has finished their 1:48 & 1:32 anemometers / German Morell air speed indicators.
German WWI biplanes had an airspeed indicator that worked with an anemometer; the whole device was attached to the wing near the pilot, as can be seen in the old WWI photo on the right. With current modelling resins, in 1/48 and 1/32 scales, the narrow parts of the anemometer break easily, and the normal workaround has been to produce anemometers that are crudely modified with respect to the original. GasPatch models now produces a faithful model of the airspeed indicator made with a special resin, which is strong and will not break when assembling or painting. We produce the airspeed indicator in 1/48 and 1/32 scales.
