We have just recieved information about two incoming kits from Kinetic.These are both variants of previously issued kits with some new features.
48039 S-2A Tracker Anti-Submarine Aircraft (new tool)
The S-2 Tracker (previously S2F prior to 1962) was the first purpose-built, single airframe, anti-submarine warfare (ASW) aircraft to enter service with the U.S. Navy. The Tracker was of conventional design with twin engines, a high wing and tricycle undercarriage. The type was exported to a number of navies around the world. Introduced in 1952 the Tracker saw service in the USN until the mid-1970s with a few aircraft remaining in service with other air arms into the 21st century.
Kit consists of over 200+ parts. Includes Cartograf decals with markings for S2F-1 US Navy VF-32 1962, CS2F-1 Canadian Armed Forces 1983, S2F-1 JMSDF II FS 1975.
48045 Mirage 2000-5EI ROCAF Taiwan AF Fighter with Tow Tractor
(new variant with new tooling)
France announced in 1992 that it would offer Mirage 2000-5 fighters to the Republic of China (Taiwan). The Republic of China Air Force (ROCAF) would receive 48 single-seat Mirage 2000-5EI and 12 Mirage 2000- 5DI. The Taiwanese ordered a set of ASTAC electronic intelligence (ELINT) pods for their Mirages.
Kit consists of over 200+ parts. Includes Cartograf decals with markings for all ROCAF active Mirage 2000-5EI.
Approximate arrival: late June 2013
