Aviaeology have released a second comprehensive set of custom-printed decals for Canadian fighter-reconnaissance Spitfires in three major aircraft modelling scales:
RCAF Fighter Recce Spitfires - Canadians in Fighter Command #2
• Small series screen-printed production
• available in 1/72, 1/48, and 1/32 scale versions
• decals to model 1 of ?? distinctive FR.IXC aircraft and additional material for additional subjects, including:
• 3 distinctive FR.IXC (FRU conversions) aircraft and additional material for a possible 4th example.
• 2 distinctive FR.XIVE (FRU conversions) aircraft and additional material for a possible 3rd example.
• 2 distinctive factory-standard FR. XIVE aircraft.
• four of the subjects feature personalized inscriptions on the nose.
• eight 8.5 x 11in. pages of illustrated instructions, including detailed (and updated as compared to our previous release) drawings for the straightforward FR conversion.
Hi resolution b&w printed documentation is supplied in the package and a home-printable colour PDF version is made available via email after purchase. The PDF can be magnified on your computer screen, tablet, or smart phone for better detail while modelling.

• Spitfire FR.IX MJ351 as aircraft S of 414 Squadron RCAF, RAF 2 TAF, Base B.90 Petit Brogel, Belgium, March 1945.
• nicknamed “Violet-Dorothy” as flown by F/L Ken Lawson.
• Spitfire FR.IX MK202 as aircraft Q of 414 Squadron RCAF, RAF 2 TAF, Base B.78 Eindhoven, Netherlands, January 1945.
• as flown by S/L Gordon Wonnacott DFC and Bar, 414 Squadron Commander.
• Notes and an illustration based on late-breaking research and interpretation are also included for Spitfire FR.IX MK374 as aircraft R of 414 Squadron RCAF, 2 TAF, Base B.78 Eindhoven, Netherlands, 1 January 1945. Wonnacott was flying this aircraft when he downed two Bf109’s and damaged an Fw190 during the New Year’s Day Bodenplatte attack on B.78. Markings features “invasion” stripes.

• nicknamed “Helen II” as flown by F/L Mile Carr as Wonnacott’s wingman.
• Spitfire FR.XIVE (FRU conversion) RN114 as aircraft W of 430 Squadron (specially marked as RC•W, the 39 Wing commander’s aircraft), RAF 2 TAF, January-May 1945.
• as flown by W/C Robert C. A. “Bunt” Waddell – 39 Wing Commander, Operations.
• Notes and an illustration based on late-breaking research and photographs are also included for Spitfire FR.XIVE (FRU conversion) RM818 as aircraft C of 430 Squadron RCAF, 2 TAF, Base B.78 Eindhoven, Netherlands, December 1944. This aircraft, was flown by Waddell prior to its loss 31 December 1944.
Paint scheme features earlier “invasion” stripes.
