T-6G Texan - Kitty Hawk Hit The BIG Time!

Glen Coleman has sent us test-shot photos of Kitty Hawk's imminent largescale North American T-6 Texan/Harvard showing the level of detail and taster of some of the decal options that will be included:

Judging by the photos, Kitty Hawk have really pulled out all the stops for their first 1:32 release - and it's such a classic subject, it should be big seller.

The release date has slipped a little from the original Christmas target - this exciting kit is now set for a January 2014 debut.

Wow, this slipped under my radar, do we know when the Harvard will be released? Are there any real differences between the Hravard and Texan? I definitely want a Harvard

The Harvard's cockpit was furnished with British instruments, throttle handles and spade grips, and of course painted in R(C)AF interior green. Externally, the rear canopy had a curved lower line as compared to the more triangular shape of the Texan. Canadian Harvards had an extended exhaust pipe to house the cockpit heater and very frequently the main strut doors were omitted. The antenna fit could also be different, especially on postwar Harvards.

This certainly is a welcome and exciting new release. I just can't help but feel the canopy is not quite right. Where are the main canopy frame corner fillets? She does look like a nice kit, though. I'm very anxious to she the reviews.
