I learned the very sad news this evening from Gordon Stevens that we lost one of the pioneers of the UK modelling scene just before Christmas - the inimitable Ron Firth:
"I had sad notification today that old friend Ron Firth passed away on 20 December 2013.
You may remember him as the urbane Editor of PAM News and Plastic Kit Constructor. With an ability to nurture budding modelling journalists by allowing them space to write. In his many publications, he brought forward the brilliant authors of today’s magazines.
He was 85 and had been battling with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.
