Rest Models are almost ready to release their new 1/48 scale Quad M-4 anti-aircraft gun. The kit is in final stages of preparation prior to release, with a finished model being assembled and and painted for box-top images.

The resin model consists of highly detailed water-cooled Maxim MGs on an AA mount, along with a 3-man crew. According to Rest Models, the kit should be ready for release in a few weeks time. Look out for an early review on Aeroscale.

The Quad M-4 marks Rest Models' first move away from purely aircraft subjects in 1/48 scale and should be an ideal accessory for Eastern Front dioramas and airfield vignettes. Looking further ahead, next in line are a Focke-Wulf Fw 159 and Heinkel He 70 - some way off yet, but with Rest Models' reputation, they should be well worth waiting for.
