Hot on the heels of Kitty Hawk's impressive 1:48 Bell AH-1Z Viper comes its general purpose counterpart - the UH-1Y Venom. With the retirement of the classic Twin Huey, the Venom is now the U.S. Marine Corp's standard utility helicopter.
Glen Coleman has sent us full-build shots of the new kit that looks similarly well detailed to the earlier release - see our review of the Viper HERE.

Kit #KH80123 is due for release in April.

Uh.....That would be a " No I don't Think So" Not in any scale, or even 1:1 CH-54 and CH-53 are both bigger than a CH-47 Maybe you should actually no the Facts first, before leading one astray!!

Patrick; No argument there.... it is just a hobby. And I'm not a Rivet counter either, But I don't think Blade span can classify a ship as the biggest. Take the blades off then tell me which one is bigger. My username is no hoax. 15 years as A crew-chief, and I can do most of the maintenance blind folded and still pass FAA standards not Army standards.. Pound for pound the CH-53 outclasses both the CH-54 & CH-47. Being an Army Aviator it was hard to accept that fact, when I found out. But Facts don't lie. And the New for 2016 CH-53K will now become the bar-scale that judges future rotorcraft. Mad salute to the USMC for sticking to their guns. Todd

Rowan: I bought the kit 2 months ago. Beautiful kit, but it wont be a WALK IN THE PARK. The multi piece fuselage will take time and precision, to hide the seams and get lined up correctly. But when your a 15M, this has to be in your collection, blood sweat & tears or not. Todd
