Collect-Aire is back with two new announcements. They have restocked the F3H-2M/N Demon and their new E2C Hawkeye will begin shipment in April.
We'll start off with the Demon. This kit is being received with the highest acclaim by Collect-Aire's customers. Finely detailed panel lines, full and accurate cockpit with Martin Baker seat provide a great start to this kit. Open avionics bays on both sides of the nose with individual black boxes will appease the detail oriented builder. The kit also features optional refueling probe, large fuselage fuel tanks and many metal parts. Scalemaster decals are provided.
Typifying a current, late model production E2C, this kit has a hollow resin fuselage with fully restrained engraved surface detail and one piece individual wing sections. Here are some of the features of this kit:
- Complex radome strut assembly
- One-piece Radome
- Proper large heat exchangers/oil coolers on top and side fuselage
- Numerous robust metal parts, including highly detailed gear struts
- Individual propellor blades
- Complex multi-part tail assembly and tail hook area
- Highly detailed cockpit including overhead console, accurate seats and rear bulkhead
- All proper external antennas and various dump tubes
- Detailed wheels, gear doors and landing gear wells
- Complex, highly detailed engine nacelles, capturing their elusive shapes
- Clear vacuform canopys (2 included) with bulged side windows
- Custom decals with full stenciling for 4 aircraft
This is a highly sought after kit so they'll go quick. Pre-orders are now being taken.
