I received an update yesterday from Lou Maglio, the owner of Collect-Aire Models, and he had some news regarding the 1/48 B/BR-66 Destroyer which is shipping now and the upcoming 1/32 F-80C Shooting Star.
As I said earlier, the B/BR-66 Destroyer is now shipping. Here's a list of the features available on the Destroyer:
- Fine,smooth,hollow resin castings with complete and petite engraved surface detail
- Numerous optional parts for B/EB and RB-66 variants
- Full cockpit detail with all engraved detail consoles and proper accurate Douglas Ejection Seats
- Refueling Probe and Airbrakes can be displayed open or closed
- Optional Leading Edge Slat kit
- Positionable Rudder
- Optional Belly Section for "B or C" variants
- Highly Complex and Accurate Landing Gear, Bays and all actuators
- Boarding Hatch can be displayed open or closed
- Engines have full intake and exhaust depth
- Optional tails for ECM or "20MM" Gun Turret
Also included are optional wing tip tanks and the rare underwing drop tanks! A clear vacuform canopy and two huge decal sheets for multiple camoflauged and natural metal variants with stenciling round out this kit.
Collect-Aire also has this 1/32 F-80C Shooting Star in the works with a release date of Summer 2003.
