The world of modelling suffered a sad loss last Wednesday with the passing of Gordon Stevens.

A hugely talented modeller, Gordon was among the earliest members of the IPMS in the 1960s, and pioneered the development of vacuformed kits. His RAREplanes models set standards of quality and accuracy that are seldom bettered in the genre to this day, and can be argued to have begun the whole limited-run kit industry that is now such an intrinsic part of our hobby.

My sincere condolences go out to Gordon's family and many friends across the world.
