AvantGarde model kits have just announced some very exciting news with the release of a limited edition MiG- 31 and further information on their eagerly anticipated Grumman Tomcats.

AMK have announced that after the success of their new tooled MiG- 31 BS/BSM Foxhound and the second one the MiG-31B/BS, that a limited run of the MiG-31 BS/BSM will soon be released. Due to hit the shelves at local model stores in September the Limited Edition MiG-31 will include metal landing gear (die-cast), upgraded decal sheet (Germetik sealant and cockpit decals) and PE fret which will be include seatbelts and "Zaslon" Radar. Following on from this six cad pictures have been released showing some of the intricate details included on the Tommcat. A slide molded complete single-piece intake trunking and engine bottom cover. Added to this the news that two types of wing will be included in the kit. One will be fully closed and slick, the other options for opening all spoilers and flaps etc. You choose what you want to build. I can see both of these kits being a really big hit with cold war modellers and aircraft modellers alike.
