Airfix are doing a new tooling on a 1/72nd scale British phantom F.G.1 Phantom II this being announced just before the Scale Model World.
Airfix have announced the release of another Fleet Air Arm aircraft the Phantom F.G.1 with wing folds included and cad pictures of the radar and armament this is sure to raise one hell of a lot of interest. I hope that Airfix don't stop their and will produce a 1/48th scale version to compliment this fantastic looking 1/72nd scale.

Is it 1/48 scale or 1/72 scale ? I think your header is wrong !

Airfix are certainly getting some money out of me next year! No doubt an FGR.2 will soon follow, if the necessary parts aren't already in the box.

That was the most confusing title I have ever read on here. I thought you were implying that the Federal Aviation Administration had some sort of 'in' with Airfix or vice versa. The title doesn't even mention a Phantom or F4.

It's not that confusing for us on the other side of the pond Matt The FAA for most British modellers refers to the Fleet Air Arm. If I'm not mistaken three of the last four model aircraft future releases announcements from Airfix have links with the FAA, sorry Fleet Air Arm. So that's possibly the reason for the headline wording. tim

Sorry if you were confused with the title Scrodes as litespeed said in the UK F.A.A. is Fleet Air Arm. Tallmick it is 1/72nd scale but I am hoping as stated in the news feed that as they are doing 1/48th Sea Fury and Walrus that at some stage soon they will do a 1/48th scale too. Sorry for any confusion

Sorry it is meant to say at some stage I am hoping they will do the 1/48th scale phantom as well.

In-War-and-Peace. If you were quicker it originally said in the news section - F.A.A in favour with Airfix ( 1/48 ). There was just a silly typo.
