Special Rumanium Defender

Coming soon from Special Hobby is a interesting 1/32 scale kit of a high performance fighter plane based off a 1930's high wing plane.

Special Hobby has announced a Rumanian IAR-81c, the Rumanium Defender. The aircraft based off the airframe fuselage of the high winged Polish P.24 was close to the performance of the Hurricane, P-36, Bf-109D, and a few others.

The kit is listed as coming soon on the Special Hobby website, but I do believe I saw an April 2017 date somewhere.

Hi Kevin and welcome to Aeroscale. The IAR-81C released by Special Hobby is a repop of the Azur-Frrom release from two or three years ago. The Azur-Frrom kit was highly regarded at the time. Lovely looking fighter. all the best. tim
