Special Hobby seems to have re-awakened their 1/72 Short Sunderland project
”Some modellers, especially on Facebook, may think that our 1/72 scale Sunderland project has been put to rest, but the exact opposite is true. It is just far too complex a project and we simply cannot focus solely on this aeroplane, no matter how iconic it may seem to some. Recently, our toolmakers have successfully trialled one of the moulding tools with the Sunderland wing, the result is here for you to see in our photos. We still have to improve the surface a bit and then test the fit with the fuselage (or rather hull) parts. If there is no trouble, the Sunderland will appear on the market sometime next year”.
