Continuing to provide updates to the modeling community, Accurate Miniatures has unveiled two of their upcoming releases-the Ilyushin II-2m-3 and the RAF Mustang Mk. 1A.
As you may already know, Accurate Miniatures announced at the beginning of the month that they would be releasing their II-2m-3 and RAF Mk. 1A in mid-October. As that date draws near, they have released pictures of the built kits on their website along with some history of each plane.
Representing a plane from the 556th Battle Regiment on the Leningrad front in 1944, the Il-2m-3 (top picture-click to enlarge) features recessed panel lines, a fully detailed cockpit and a detailed gunners position. Decals include the standard six position red star and patriotic slogans which were common on planes from this era.
The RAF Mk.1A Mustang (bottom picture-click to enlarge) offers markings for two different aircraft and comes with the option of the standard canopy or Malcolm hood.
