Blenheim Test Build

Airfix has posted images of the test build of their 1/48 scale Bristol Blenheim Mk.1

There will be two marking options:
-Bristol Blenheim Mk.IF - L6739 YP-Q, RAF No.23 Squadron, Wittering, Cambridgeshire, England, February 1940. This is the scheme currently applied to G-BPIV flying with the Aircraft Restoration Company at Duxford
-Bristol Blenheim Mk.IF – K7159 YX-N, No.54 Operational Training Unit, RAF Church Fenton, North Yorkshire, England, December 1940.

Release date will be October 2018.

Can You believe it ? I bought the Classic Airframes kit Mk.IV a couple of months ago, cost me north of 60 Euros with shipping and all.

Hi Tim I hate to say it, but I was really looking forward to this kit... until I saw the trench-like panel lines. I'd like to think they are only a sign of a test-shot, but I fear they are there to stay. Admittedly, the black wash in the test build doesn't help matters - but, Wow!, they look heavy.
