V1 Decals has released marking in 1/444 scale for NASA’s Boeing 747SP (DLR SOFIA) airborne telescope

The recommended kit is the 1/144 scale Revell Boeing 747-200, but it will obviously need modifying. NASA’s Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy [SOFIA] is basically the 747 SP with a large cargo door and bulge to the rear of the fuselage to accommodate the infrared reflecting telescope.

The decals are also available in 1/72, 1/100, 1/200, 1/400 and 1/500
