DN Models have released another tiger camo scheme this time for the MH-60 SeaHawk in 1/35th.
Tiger Camouflage Paint Mask Set for MH-60 SeaHawk HSM-73 1/35th
Suggested scale - 1/35th
Suggested kits - Kitty Hawk Sea Hawk, can be used with Academy kits
Price - $23.99
SKU - 35/827-080
Re-usable die-cut camo mask set
The set includes two sheets of masks (shown in the picture). The masks are made from thin masking tape, which is easy to be peeled off and doesn’t leave any stains. The tape is tested on clear and painted model too. If carefully removed after painting, they can be used over and over again. Material is flexible and easily applied over curved surfaces. Semi-transparent for easy and accurate placing.
The MH-60 SeaHawk is the sea variant of the stealthy looking black helicopter known as Black Hawk. Notorious all around the World due to its survivability and practicality, Black Hawk was transformed into many variants covering a variety of roles. The SeaHawk variant is painted in gray color and differs slightly from the Black Hawk by few improvements and differences. The tail of the SeaHawk can be folded alongside with its rotor, to save space on the ships where it is designed to serve. Being one of the many derivatives, the Sea Hawk is best represented by this particular Tiger Scheme, making it one of the most recognizable helicopters from Black Hawk siblings.
The Tiger Camouflage of the SeaHawk is one of the many Tiger Camo variants that DN Models made into masks for scale models. Those camo schemes are attractive, especially the NAVY and Marines variants, where the stripes are very visible and provide stunning appearance. Using decals for replicating the Tiger Camo scheme is often tedious and gives results that are often far from the real appearance. The reasons for using masks for scale models are many, but the most important one is the realism provided, alongside with the ease of use and following weathering advantages. That offers a whole new universe of aging possibilities, most visible on light gray schemes like the one seen on the NAVY and Marines aircraft, including the Tiger camo of the SeaHawk. The set does not include the Tiger heads seen on the tail.
