Richard Alexander has announced the release of a new version of the Hannover CL.II, plus Wingnut Wings' plans for the upcoming IPMS Nationals in Chattanooga.
Hi,
We are also very pleased to announce that our next new release will be a new version of our very popular Hannover Cl.II (which sold out in January 2016). 32079 Hannover Cl.II (Early) is now available for pre-order from shop.wingnutwings.com with shipping from September-October 2019. Pre-order deposit payment in full with 100% refund available upon request up to 23 September 2019 (NZ time). 32079 Hannover Cl.II (Early) should also be available from your regular preferred Wingnut Wings supplier.
32079 1/32 Hannover Cl.II (Early) MSRP US$ 129.00
The highly distinctive Hannover Cl.II was an excellent low-level two-seat escort fighter and ground attack aircraft. Powered by a 180hp Argus As.III engine, the Hannover “battle plane” was well-liked when it entered service in the middle of 1917; it was strong, fast, light weight and in certain circumstances could outmaneuver enemy single-seat fighters. The high position of the crew in the distinctive fuselage gave them an excellent field of vision unobstructed by the top wing, and the innovative biplane tailplane increased the observer’s field of fire rearwards. Depending on mission requirements, the Hannover Cl.II could carry various models of camera and wireless equipment as well as small bombs. The Hannover Cl.II served until the end of WW1 and post-war with Polish and Latvian forces.
-261 high-quality injection moulded plastic parts (same as sold out model 32024 Hannover Cl.II).
-16 photo-etched metal detail parts.
-Highly detailed 23 part Argus As.III engine.
-Optional propellers, radio, cameras, radiators, ailerons, small bombs and diorama accessories.
-28 page fully illustrated instruction manual.
-3 high-quality Cartograf decal sheets includingall new fitted lozenge camouflage and markings for 5 colour schemes;
A = Hannover Cl.II 9276/17 “White 5”, H Bronner, Royal Bavarian Schusta 27b, late 1917 to early 1918
B = Hannover Cl.II 9280/17 “Comet”, Grönhagen? & J Gfrör, FA (A) 282, November 1917
C = Hannover Cl.II 9301/17 “White 4”, J Missfelder, Royal Prussian Schusta 12, March 1918
D = Hannover Cl.II 9398/17 “2”, JKH Müller & A Zitzelsberger, Royal Bavarian Schusta 24b, March 1918

IPMS USA Nationals (Chattanooga)
Jason McAdam (Wingnut Wings product designer) and I are shortly going to begin our 20+ hour journey to the Chattanooga for the IPMS USA National convention next week (7-10 August 2019). For those of you attending this show, Jason and I look forward to meeting you at our stand #44 in the middle of the vendor area. And if you’re in Chattanooga on the Thursday night, we hope to see you at our informal meet and greet from 7pm in “table south Kitchen + Bar” at the Downtown Marriott, Two Carter Plaza, downtown Chatanooga. We will have a sign on our table so you can find us.
New model on display at Chattanooga;
-32068 1/32 All new model in development for 2020 to be revealed on 7 August (Chattanooga time).
We will also have test shot builds of our upcoming Lancaster and Handley Page models.
In addition to this, we will have model kit sales including;
-32055 1/32 Sopwith Pup “Gnome”.
-Very limited supplies of found warehouse “sold out” stock.
-Note: On-site cash sales only. Sorry, no reservations. Limit of 1x per customer may be applied to some items. Please do not email to inquire because we will be travelling and won’t be able to answer.
Other items;
-A very limited supply of Wingnut Wings T-Shirts.
-A very limited supply of Albatros D.V, Sopwith Camel and “another aircraft” colouring in pages “for the kids”.
-Other printed material to give away (while stocks last)
Of course, all of the above is reliant on the stuff actually arriving in Chattanooga on time. So if that doesn’t happen, it’ll just be a talkfest!
If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, please let me know, but please understand that I am travelling from 4 August and might be able to reply until after I return on 14 August.
