Italeri has re-released its 1/72 scale Harrier Gr.1 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the transatlantic air race from London city centre to New York city centre
The Harrier Gr.1 participated in the Daily Mail Trans-Atlantic Air Race between London and New York held in May 1969. The Harrier Gr 1 performed the distance between the Post Office Tower in London and the Empire State Building in New York scoring the best overall time. The marking for the winner: XV741 flown by Sqdn Ldr Major Tom Lecky Thompson is included as a marking option.
