wow, I haven't built a helicopter in ages, but i was just pondering this exact variation of this bird a couple weeks ago... strange.

If you like "Miss Clawd IV", Hugh Mill's ride, it has been done many times. You can get it in 1/32 from Revell, 1/35 from Dragon (reboxed by Italeri), and 1/72 from Italeri. All the above are pretty good kits. The Revell 1/32 one is old though, 1970s (or earlier) mold technology. I think this will be the first time in 1/48th though.

This little bird has always had a place in my heart for some strange reason. This could look really good next to my 1/48 Chinook. It could put some scale into the display revealing the size of the Massive Chinook. Thanks for the update

Hello, I'm glad to see this kit produced in 1/48 and I'm proud to say Hugh Mills has been a close personal friend of mine for many years. On the other hand I was sorry to see that someone has "lifted" 3 photos in the section illustrating the armor side plate on the pilot's seat from my website without the courtesy of asking. The site is not for profit and supported as such by veterans who choose to share their photos and memories for the benefit of fellow veterans, historians and others who are interested. It pains me to see their images taken, without permission or even recognition, by those intent on financial gain. Sorry for the sour grapes guys but I would certainly hope anyone reading this would agree. John Conway, Kansas City, Missouri

Hi John I'll nip out all the shots containing reference photos in case the others have been used without permission too. Thanks for letting us know. All the best Rowan
