Modelimex have released pictures of the new 1/48 scale Hawker Hurricane from ARK Models. The kit is initially available in two forms in RAF and VVS service.
The Hurricane is injection-moulded using limited run technology, so expect a few sink-marks and a little extra cleanup compared with mainstream kits, but peering into the celephane packs shows engraved panel lines and what appears to be a much more subtle and realistic fabric effect on the fuselage than on, say, the Hasegawa Hurricanes. There's a choice of de Havilland or Rotol propellers and there seem to be both plain and weighted tyres.
ARK's Hurricanes ARK-48024 and ARK-48026 definitely look worth checking out and are available now at Modelimex, priced 17.25 €.
