"For MPM Production is August more work than holiday month. We usually attend the IPMS USA Nationals. This year the Nationals are held in Phoenix, Arizona. So even though, we're having vacations in our company, still we work hard on new releases. August news:

SH32033 Nakajima Ki-27Kó Nate „Nomonhan Aces“

We started to offer one of the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Force legends, A5M2b Claude two months ago. The sales of the kit are very good. If this persists we'll need to prepare re-edition or different version of this kit. Now is the time for the Imperial Japanese Army Air Force and another legend this time Ki-27 Nate. IJAAF chose Ki-27 after several rounds of new fighter aircraft competition in 1937. It replaced the obsolete Ki-10 biplanes in the line. New Ki-27s were extremely maneuverable. They were deployed in China, Nomonhan conflict against Soviet Union (Chalkin-Gol) and during World War 2 they participated in Malay, Burma and with several units the type persisted up to 1943. Manchukuo license production of Ki-27 lasted until 1942 when it was in production replaced by Ki-79 trainer based on Ki-27. The allies' assigned Ki-27 code name Nate (originally named Abdul in Burma).

The kit of this fighter aircraft was never produced in 1/32 scale as injected plastic kit. The new release by Special Hobby contains four sprues with plastic parts, injected canopy, highly detailed resin and photo-etched parts. Decals included offer three machines that participated in Nomonhan conflict (Russo-Japan). Many IJAAF aces flew on Ki-27s, such as Isamu Kashiide, Toshio Matsumura and Shintaro Kashima.

72561 Boulton Paul Defiant Mk.I „Battle of Britain“ 1/72

For the forthcoming 70th anniversary of Battle of Britain we prepared limited issue of Boulton Paul Defiant Mk.I kit. This kit represents Defiant, the two seater fighter equipped with machine gun turret that during the Dunkerque evacuation and in the beginning of Battle of Britain sported high successes. These were only temporary, since when Germans changed their attack tactics, Defiants became easy prey. Defiants were shifted to night fighter and auxiliary roles.

The kit contains two sprues with plastic parts, injected clear parts and resin parts for the six stuck exhausts. Decals included offer Defiant PS-X from RAF No.264 squadron, machine of the most successful Defiant crew. This machine was destroyed during emergency landing after the clash with Bf 109. The damaged Bf 109 was finished by Hurricane. Unlike the German pilot, Defiant crew was lucky enough and survived. This interesting moment from Battle of Britain will be also presented by the kit's box artpainting. Other decal options offer RAF No.141 squadron machine TW-P, same unit's machine with cock painting and code letters TW-H and RAF No.307 (Polish) squadron EW-K machine.

72562 X-15A-2 “with Dummy Scramjet” 1/72

Limited issue of X-15A-2 equipped with scramjet dummy kit. The airship reached the top speed with this dummy scramjet and modified tail planes. The airship was painted with white ablative paint for this flight.

The kit contains two sprues with plastic parts, injected canopy and highly detailed resin parts for ground dolly and photo-etched parts.

72518 Hudson Mk.I/II 1/72 re-issue

One of the metal mould kits by MPM Production is back on sale. The long time unavailability was caused by the trouble with the moulds. We solved the latter trouble by making two new moulds. Patrol bomber Hudson was produced for Great Britain by Lockheed Company and was based on the model 14 airliner. Hudsons were produced in great series and distinguished itself not only during the Battle for the Atlantic Ocean. Its contribution was even bigger. They not only served in Great Britain but also in USAAF, RAAF, NZAF, Brazil and others as patrol and bomber aircraft. They also served as a transport aircraft; for instance they transported supplies to Malta.

The kit contains four injected sprues of grey plastic with one additional clear injected sprue. The decals are for three RAF machines, which particpated in the Battle for the Atlantic Ocean. These machines are QX-W of RAF No. 224 Squadron, NO-U No.320 (Dutch) Squadron and RAF VX-M No.206 Squadron. All of them operated within Coastal Command in 1940. The camouflage consisted of Dark Green and Dark Earth on upper surfaces on all machines but the colors of the lower ones differed. The first machine's lower surfaces were painted by Sky and later over sprayed by black color. The other two machines' lower surfaces were aluminum doped. NO-U machine sported little Dutch flags on the nose.

SH72035 Piaggio P.108B „II. serie“ 1/72 re-issue

Another long time sold out kit that returns to market is SH72035 Piaggio P.108B. The only Italian four engined bomber that participated in WW 2. P.108Bs attacked Gibraltar and targets in Africa. The II. serie of this bomber was produced with intention for night actions and therefore the nose turret was omitted. Decals included offer two machines; the first one is 274. Squadriglia's machine the other one is machine that was captured by US forces and subsequently had received US national insignias. The kit contains four sprues with grey plastic parts, injected clear parts and highly detailed resin parts.

We offer you a possibility to improve our kits with colour photo-etched parts in a limited serie:
