Some interesting News via Facebook (and the Airfix Page) of the launch of a New magazine bearing the company's name.
Airfix Model World will be hitting the Newstands in November.
This completely New 'in-house' magazine will be published by British publisher Key Publishing Ltd. This publisher has a proven track record with Aviation subjects as a large part of their portfolio covers this area. FlyPast, Airliner World and AirForces Monthly are just three of the titles they publish.
Airfix Model World will cover all modelling genres but will focus on aviation, the largest sub-sector within this market. The 100 page magazine, which launches on 4 November 2010 with a monthly frequency will have a cover price of £3.99.
For me, like many others, the 'old' (original) Airfix Magazine was a useful beginning to modeling. Whilst i've always been a little 'nervous' of the In-House publications the quality of those which carry a manufacturer's brand name are, in my opinion, very professionally done. So, it's nice to see the return of an old favorite - albeit in a New format!s
