Due to the recent death of one of the partners at Aeroclub a necsessary restructuring has taken place. While some stock is being burned off at e-bay one need kit looms on the horizon. The long awaited Aeroclub 1:48 Sopwith Pup (9901) appears to be almost ready to produce.
From John Adams at Aeroclub.
"Hi
Just to keep everyone up to date. I have a huge amount of work to do to sort out Pete's system as well as re-arranging the whole business to suit how I want to work. After all I am 67 and need to streamline everything.
Pete was a prodigious hardworker and I no longer want to have to work at the rate I have also done for too many years. so some things have got to go. I am going to concentrate on Aeroclub products and some very specialist stuff. I will also be reducing the Aeroclub range of products. One of the problems in recent years as the range has grown has been the maintainance aspect. Moulds burn out , fracture or wear so I have to seriously decide what products are viable or economical to retain, replace or scrap. I can do this or do new stuff I can't do both.

I have just opened up an eBay channel (aeroclubmodels) to clear some kit stock off the shelves. Please note that all the normal Aeroclub parts will not be sold on eBay so please contact me or reorder at [email protected] . Or write for those who still can handle a quill to 1A Baker Avenue Arnold Nottingham NG5 8FW.

The 1:48th scale Sopwith Pup kit is almost ready and that is a priority, close behind is......... well you'll have to wait for that

Pete had a amassed a large back order list and I am going to cancel this so If anyone is waiting for normal mainstream stuff I am sorry but will not be restocking these items. . .

Regards

John (Adams)"

Has anyone seen this kit? Hyperscale did a review but I have not found it available for sale anywhere.

I have found a place where they have been actively chatting on another forum. They seem to have shut down their website and have only recently gotten a limited supply of "STRUTZ". I have made another inquiry on the 1:48 Pup and the "STRUTZ" but even reviewing their activity it seems they are working only on a limited basis.

Hi Stephen I'm looking forward to seeing what you think of it. Inspired by your success, I've e-mailed John again to try to buy one. (I also ordered some Aeroclub bezels to do a new panel for my Flycatcher, as my treasured stock of ancient Reheat ones seems to have been misplaced somewhere amid Castle Aerocale's move to the Isle of Wight. ) All the best Rowan
