There are some very interesting kits due for release from MPM in the next few weeks - not least the Battle of Britain version of the BR.20 coinciding fittingly with the 70th Anniversary commemorations.
"Mid September brings you MPM Production newsletter. Before we announce new kits we'd like to apologize for the delay in 72518 Hudson Mk.I/II kit. We experienced far worse troubles trimming the new moulds than we originally expected. Since we want the plastic parts to be exclusive we are forced to postpone the release of this kit.

SH48109 Ilyushin Il-10 "Last WWII Days“ - 1/48
Some might be surprised that Il-10, the successor of Il-2 Sturmovik, participated in WW II fights. This is really true. New Il-10s were deployed in Berlin Operation as so during the liberation of Czechoslovakia. New Il-10s were deployed in April 1945.
The kit contains four sprues with grey parts, a sprue with clear parts, highly detailed resin and photo-etched parts. The kit can be built with opened wing bomb bays. Decals included offer four machines. Three of them wear camouflage, two machines sports VVS ground attack and bomber aircraft schemes, the third wears two tones of grey on upper surfaces as so the Soviet fighter of that era. The first machine no. 6 and 18 and the overall grey machine fought over Germany, machine “White 2”
was shot down near Brno (Czechoslovakia) during the last days of WW II. The last machine is not a wartime mount but served in East Germany in 1947. Nevertheless,
the camouflage of the latter machine is attractive. The machine is overall silver
with red stripe and flying eagles painting on fuselage.
SH48105 Fiat BR.20M "CAI in Battle of Britain“ -1/48
Similarly as the previous month we issue another kit related to 70th anniversary of Battle of Britain. This time the kit represents axis Fiat BR.20M that created the backbone of Corpo Aero Italiano's (CAI) bomber units. CAI operated from Belgian bases mainly against targets in south of England during the Battle of Britain. Nevertheless, English weather and RAF fighters were hard nut to crack for Italians.
The kit of the Fiat's modernized version contains seven sprues with grey plastic
parts, a sprue with clear parts, highly detailed resin and photo-etched parts.
Decals included offer five machines that participated during the Battle of Britain. Two of them sport art paintings of units' badges.
A047 Supermarine Sea Otter ASR Mk.II "FAA Post War Service“ - 1/72
Supermarine Sea Otter was designed and deployed to service during World War II. It was designed to replace the obsolete and famous Walrus and to take over their assignment - artillery spotting, rescue and liaison roles. It was produced in version Mk.I and ASR Mk.II. The latter served especially for sea rescue. Unlike Mk.I version ASR Mk.II was equipped with arresting tail hook and was capable for carrier operations. Due to the tail hook the shape of the rudder was changed. When
the war had ended Sea Otters served till the end of 1950s and even participated
in Korean Conflict.
The kit of this interesting aircraft contains four sprues with grey plastic parts, a sprue with clear parts, highly detailed resin and photo-etched parts. Decals included offer three post WW II machines that served with FAA. Two of them were based in Britain's bases. The third machine participated in Korean
Conflict on board of carrier HMS Theseus.
A090 Supermarine Sea Otter Mk.I/ASR Mk.II "Foreign Service“ - 1/72
When that war had ended Sea Otters served not only with FAA but were also deployed to naval or air forces of other countries.
The plastic parts of this kit are same as of A047 kit but according to the chosen camouflage it'll be necessary to use particular version of the tail planes. Decals included offer three post WW II machines that served with various users. Camouflaged Sea Otter Mk.I with 8S-10 codes served with French escadrille 8S and operated from Cat Laï base in French Indo-China in 1949. The overall yellow camouflaged Sea Otter ASR Mk.II served with Marine-Luchtvaartdienst (Air Service
of Royal Dutch Navy) in 1950. The last machine is camouflaged Danish Sea Otter Mk.I that operaed from Naval Air Station Copenhagen in 1947.
