Airfix have a very tempting offer at the moment to subscribe to the magazine next year. For new members they are offering a double kit of their recently released 1/72 Mig 17 and the F-86 Sabre to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Korean war. This became the first significant armed conflict of the Cold War.

To commemorate this anniversary the new exclusive 2011 Airfix Club kit consists of two 1:72 scale aircraft, a North American F-86F Sabre and a MiG 15, both of which are new tools. These have never been released as a set before by Airfix and are only available via the "Limited Edition" Airfix Club kit. Both kits have unique decal schemes used during this conflict which have never been produced by Airfix, and represent the main combat fighter aircraft used by both sides:

North American F-86F Sabre - 'Little Rita', flown by Lt. Dick Geiger, 16th Fighter Interceptor Sqn, 51st Fighter Wing, K-13 (Suwon AB), South Korea, 1952/1953.

MiG 15 - People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF), North Korea, 1952.
