MPM Production have sent us their first Newsletter of 2011 with a list of what to expect in the next few months, plus all the latest releases:

"Right in the beginning of this newsletter I'd like to wish all the besting the New Year to all of our business partners and modelers. I'm happy that we meet again upon MPM Production newsletter.

This year will surely bring following, already announced kits: 1/72 scale Short Sunderland, CAC Boomerang, Vautour, SAAB J-21R and later even SAAB J-21A; in 1/48 scale for instance Airspeed Oxford and Bristol Beaufort. We're also preparing highly detailed Spitfire Mk.XII and Seafire Mk.XV kits in 1/48 scale. In big 1/32 scale you can look forward to another version of A5M Claude, P-36 with fixed landing gear and long awaited Jak-3.

If you visit 62nd Spielwarenmesse International Toy Fair in Nuremberg you will have a chance to get more info about the forthcoming new releases. You will find us in Hall 7 at booth E-52.

January releases include both completely new kits as so several kits that have been long time out of production.

72548 Gloster Meteor T MK.7 „Commonwealth Trainer“ Hi-tech kit 1/72
For a long time the double seater Meteor T Mk.7 trainers created the backbone of the RAF training network. Also FAA, the aircraft branch of Royal Navy, used them for training purposes. By the virtue of the Commonwealth seven Meteor Mk.7s were purchased by Australian RAAF and Canada received one Meteor Mk.7. Except of the latter the trainer version was exported to other countries; mostly to those air forces that already used single seater fighter version of Meteors.

The Commonwealth kit contains two sprues with plastic parts, injected canopy, detailed resin and photo-etched parts. Decals included offer four camouflage markings. FAA's WS103/609 overall red machine with orange additions, RAF's WH144/N-A flown by Czechoslovakian pilot Miro Liškutín, the commander of No.215 AFS, two appearances of RAAF's Meteor A-77-702 and RCAF's only one Meteor Mk.7 WA740 from No.421 Squadron.

72568 Havoc Mk.II „Turbinlite“ 1/72
US twin-engined A -20 were used by RAF for both bomber roles (under designation Boston with particular version number) and night fighter and intruder attacks on enemy airfields (these machines were designated Havoc or Intruder). One of the Havoc's versions was Havoc Mk.II Turbinlite. This version was a dead end for the night fighting techniques. According to the RAF tactics the twin-engine aircraft equipped with radar and strong searchlight should seek and eventually light up the enemy bomber. The escort fighter should then shot down this bomber. The combat experiences though showed that a formation flight of two fighters and leading radar aircraft in darkness without lit up formation lights is a mere suicide. Even though this tactics was used for a long time it didn't prove successful.

The kit contains six sprues with grey plastic parts, two sprues with injected clear parts, resin cowlings and flame-trap exhausts. Decals included offer markings for 4 night fighters, all overall black.

SH72214 D-558-I Skystreak „NACA“ 1/72
US Navy together with the civil organization NACA were the issuers of D-558-I test aircraft. Past the speed records and US Navy requested tests, Skystreaks were handed over to NACA (according to the US Navy issue swept wing D-558-II was in design stage we produce a kit of this aircraft in 1/72 scale of cat. no. SH72163 and SH72180). NACA used their Skystreaks for various tests from high altitude test to numerous bodies attached to the wing tips. The aircraft received new paint jobs; overall red color was oversprayed by white color, some portions still remained in red and some were even in natural metal.

We managed to reconstruct 6 different camouflages and the particular marking are contained within the decal sheet. The kit also contains one sprue with plastic parts, injected canopy, detailed resin and photo-etched parts.

We finally managed to tune up new fuselage mould and so we can start to distribute this kit.

Re-issues:
The German rocket projects were long time out of production. The designs of these rocket projects were based on the A-4/V-2 rocket. The end of the war terminated the realization. We are offering limited quantity of these kits.
