Neil Gaunt of Aircraft In Miniature Ltd. has sent us details of three new releases in his Historic Wings series of multimedia kits.

"HISTORIC WINGS CAYLEY GLIDER (1853) KIT ‘The coachman carrier’

A 1:72 kit of the glider which in 1853 carried Sir George Cayley’s coachman aloft at Thornton Dale in Yorkshire, England. It is built from etched brass with cast metal detail parts. The wheels have discs of etched nickel-silver spokes and Litespan film is provided for those who wish to cover the flying surfaces of their model. Decals are provided for the woodgrain finish on the car or fuselage. Figures of Sir George Cayley and his coachman John Appleby are also included in the kit.

HISTORIC WINGS SANTO DUMONT DEMOISELLE (1909) KIT

A 1:72 kit of the Santos Dumont Demoiselle, which is built from etched brass with cast metal detail parts. The wheels have discs of etched nickel-silver spokes and a form tool is provided to give these discs their correct conical form. Litespan film is provided for those who wish to cover their model. A figure of Santos Dumont is also included in the kit.

HISTORIC WINGS FOKKER SPIN (1912) KIT

A 1:72 kit of the Fokker Spin, the first aircraft built in Holland by Anthony Fokker. The model is of the third version. It is built from etched brass with cast metal detail parts. The wheels have discs of etched nickel-silver spokes spokes and a form tool is provided to give these discs their correct conical form. Litespan film is provided for those who wish to cover the flying surfaces of their model. A figure of Anthony Fokker is also included in the kit."
