Here's a look at the new kits planned this month by MPM Production, including a 2-seater version of the Breda 65 in 1:48, and a totally reworked cockpit for the 1:32 A5M4.
"SH48111 Breda Ba.65 A-80 „Two seater“ 1/48
Ground support and fighter aircraft Breda Ba.65 was designed as multi purpose aircraft. Except of the single seater version also a two seater version was designed. There were two different models with or without the gun turret. The turret equipped version (powered by Fiat A-80 engine) was ordered by Portugal and Persia (Iraq). While the Portugal machines suffered from Fiat engine troubles, the service of Persian machines was terminated by the British occupation in 1941. Italian Air Force rate turret equipped version inefficient and used only two seater version with open gunner's position. Both versions are included in our kit.

The kit contains three sprues with grey plastic parts, one sprue with clear parts, detailed resin and photoetched parts. Decals included offer one Portugal machine (camouflaged), two Persian (in natural metal surface and aluminum) and one Italian (continental camouflage scheme).

SH72215 SAAB J-21A 1/72
Since Sweden was neutral during World War II they faced serious troubles obtaining suitable aircraft for their air force. The deliveries of already ordered fighters form USA were cancelled when USA entered the war. The deliveries of Italian fighters were insufficient, too. The efforts for self-sufficiency led, among others to development of SAAB J-21A powered by DB605 engine in twin fuselage boom pusher configuration. The development was prolonged so the first SAAB fighter was deployed after the end of the war in Europe. Later series were used for ground attack purposes. J-21A machines served with Swedish Air Force until 1953. Also jet powered version J-21R was deployed to service (We produce a kit of this aircraft under catalogue number SH72207 in 1/72 scale).

Special Hobby kit contains two sprues with plastic grey parts, injected canopy, resin and photo-etched parts. Decals included offer four markings of Swedish AF's machines specified by numbers on the nose and letters on the fin. One of the machines' sports shark's mouth, other two sport unit marking on the nose (Bonzo dog and Devil); one of these machines was also named Pyry. The last machine bears also unit marking (Kalmar town heraldry) and white stripes denoting this machine's participation on military exercise.

SH32039 A5M4 Claude „Hi tech“ 1/32
Mitsubishi A5M fighter, deployed during the undeclared Sino-Japanese War was for the Chinese pilots a real unpleasant surprise since they were able to dogfight Japanese biplane fighters Nakajima A2N and A4N. The new and up to date A5Ms were tough adversaries. Mitsubishi A5M were for Imperial Japanese Navy produced in several versions, the last combat versions were A5M2b and A5M4. The Sino-Japanese War experiences were applied to these versions. Thanks to their performances these machines fought even in the beginning of the World War 2 in Pacific. The allies' code named this aircraft Claude. Now we are releasing Claude's last mass produced version.

Last year we released A5M2b version (recently sold out we're preparing re-issue). This kit featured not quite well shaped cockpit so we completely re-designed the cockpit for A5M4 version. Whole cockpit was designed in 3D and master pattern was produced by 3D printing.

The kit contains four sprues with grey plastic parts, injected windshield and photo-etched parts. Decals included offer three colour schemes.

Last newsletter announced forthcoming FB2C-1 kit and its export version Hawk III (Special Hobby series in 1/72 scale). Now we're working on box art painting for US versions. Another long time awaited kit will be CAC CA-12 Boomerang in 1/72 scale. This kit will be released in June."
